The Day The Earth Stood Still Build Up w/ Light & Sound Video
Another recent build using light and sound effects from Starling Technologies for the 1951 science fiction classic "The Day The Earth Stood Still." The video has a brief narrative with musical sound tracks from the film playing in the background.

A close up of the model purchased at Monsters In Motion. The color palette was up in the air since the film was in black & white so I suppose no one could say that it is 'wrong'.
The night time video version
This is the 'night' video which has a bit of the movie's sound track inserted. I also think the ray effect is much more impressive with this lighting though this scene clearly isn't in the film. Gort is by itself when it uses its laser during the film's night scenes.
I used a photo editor to get the black & white version of this kit since the film was originally released in black & white.
