This is my other kit of "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms" and a much rarer one from the Kits That Aurora Should Have Made line that is discontinued as far as I know. Still, they turn up from time to time on eBay which is where I got this one. The casting was very nice but the flat resin interior screamed out to be kit bashed so I added a lot of elements like sub-flooring, furniture, signs, soldiers (of course!). and other stuff. Fortunately, the scale was very close to HO so I didn't have much trouble finding some of the various elements. The hard part was the interior but I think my efforts were worth it.

As a goof, I stuck the 'Lighthouse' Beast in the 'Aurora' Beast scene. I think it actually looks better with the larger animal in the wreckage. When I get some free cash I might just buy another 'Lighthouse' Beast and put it the scene permanantly.

I used a photo editor to get the black & white version of this kit since the film was originally released in black & white.
