The Moebius Universal Pictures Line of Model Kits

Excerpt from the Moebius Models site: Moebius Models was founded by Frank Winspur to bring back classic scifi and horror model kits to a fan base that had seemingly been forgotten by the major companies. Frank was the owner of The Doll and Hobby Shoppe in Deland, Florida and one of Polar Lights earliest distributors. He felt the need for a new company to fill the gigantic void after Polar Lights discontinued most of their line in 2004. A long time Aurora collector, Frank had hoped that it was just a temporary change. With the closing of Doll & Hobby in 2005, Frank knew what he had to do: Continue the tradition. The first kit from Moebius Models was a reissue of Dr. Jekyll as Mr. Hyde. For many modelers, this is the missing link in their collection, the last of the classic Aurora monsters to be reissued. (End of excerpt.)

Moebius also has a number of kits based on several of the popular TV shows of the 60's, namely “The Munsters”, “Lost In Space” and “Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea” as well as heroes from the DC comics line (Superman & Batman), Battlestar Gallactica and a multitude of classic car kits. One day I may dabble in one of them, probably the B9 robot from “Lost In Space” which has a neat light & sound kit available from Starling Technologies.

So far, I have only built three of their Universal Pictures Horror film series: The Creature From The Black Lagoon, Dracula & The Bride Of Frankenstein. As you can see from the photo below, they are all 1/8 scale so they look good when 'posed' as group. I'll go into the construction of each in their 'sub-page' in this section.
