Conan The Barbarian Resin Model Kit

A nice little kit I got my hands on at about the same time I purchased “Fat Bastard” seen elsewhere on this site. It is a miniature version (1/24 scale) of a Frank Frazetta statue based on his famous Conan painting.

This very detailed kit was cast in the dense gray resin that is prevalent in these resin kits from China. The conical base came in four pieces (why???) and fit together well. The Conan figure has four parts in curious configurations such as the left leg is part of the base and his face is a separate element which, I suppose, makes painting his tiny features easier. Why they didn't make the slave girl at his feet a separate item is anybody's guess. It would have made painting her so much easier.

Anyway, a nice little kit that took about four hours to paint and 30 minutes to assemble. 2/21/2021
